Your trips are yours. Plans you build are stored on your own device unless you create an account, and we don't sell personal information to anyone.
Building an itinerary sends the places and dates you enter (never your identity) to the services that power the plan: HERE and Google Maps for routing, geocoding and place details, the National Weather Service for forecasts, and our AI provider for narrative suggestions. Booking links open the campground's own reservation site, which has its own privacy policy.
Previewing a route loads map tiles from Mapbox directly in your browser, which means Mapbox receives the map area you are viewing. Road-level photographs shown as clearance evidence come from Mapillary. Elevation comes from AWS Terrain Tiles.
We use Sentry to record errors and performance traces so we can fix crashes. Those reports can include the page you were on and the request that failed. Coordinates sent when you preview a drive are rounded to roughly 11 metres beforehand, so the values that reach server logs, caches and error reports are never precise to a doorstep.
A preview shows known restrictions only. Always follow posted signage and confirm clearances on approach.
A trip becomes visible to others only when you create a share link. Share links are unlisted and unguessable; delete the trip or ask us to remove the link and it's gone.
You can use the planner without an account, clear locally stored trips from your browser at any time, and request deletion of any account data by contacting us.
